DIKTATOR

Diktator is a toy designed for the adult market, similar to a Mister Potato Head, mostly differing in that Diktators are tater tots and of course the facial features are designed to mock some of the worst political leaders in history. Any resemblance to actual persons is purely coincidental of course (as stated on the back of the package).

The branding was designed by me with inspiration from communist era Soviet, Chinese, and North Korean art, notably using bold and simple graphics, political leaders (albeit they are made to look foolish), and promoting the working class, with special emphasis on the “giga chad” worker on the side of the package.

The toy itself was made with 3d printing, and while it is not something where the quality is fit for mass consumption, it serves its role as prototype which gets the idea across. This project was completed with the help of Eddy Lara Torres for the package prototyping, and Sina Jozi for the conceptual development and all the printing.
